OBIT-Victoria Venegas

MISSION - Victoria Venegas, 84, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1929 in Mission.

Survivors include her husband, Juan Venegas; son, Floyd Venegas; siblings, Marcos Cardenas and Leonor Mazariegos; and four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo Cardenas and Genera Morales; son, Juan Venegas Jr.; and siblings, Adriana Rivera and Felix Cardenas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment follows at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
