OBIT-Isaura G. Macias

MISSION - Isaura G. Macias, 94, passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Mission Regional Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 8, 1919 in Havana to Porfirio and Petra (Reyna) Garza.

Survivors include her sons, Ruben Mancias of La Casita and Cecilio Mancias Jr. of Mission; daughters, Gloria Villarreal of La Grulla, Blanca Vela of Elmhurst, Ill. and San Juanita Garcia of Rio Grande City; and 25 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecilio Mancias; and daughter, Maria Magdalena Fugate.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Rivera Funeral Home in Mission. Interment of cremated remains will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. at Havana Cemetery.
