MISSION – On May 12, 2011, after many months of battling with an illness, Sabas Pérez, a Korean War veteran, serenely left us and went on to reside with his Heavenly Father and all his loved ones who preceded him. His last days were spent at Comfort House in McAllen where he was resting peacefully and waiting for his name to be called.  Sabby, who was born on December 5, 1927.

He is survived by his brother, Leo Perez, and scores of nephews and nieces.

We are very thankful to Dr. Arango for all the tender care and ministrations he provided to our Uncle Sabby.  We are also very appreciative to the Comfort House for providing a very beautiful and peaceful home where he spent his last days with the dignity he deserved. The family requests that all of Sabby's friends, neighbors and relatives who contemplate bringing plants or flowers, to please consider instead a contribution of equal or more value to the Comfort House that is located at 617 Dallas Avenue, McAllen, TX 78501. Your donations will be greatly appreciated.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Esiquio and Maria Cerda Pérez; brothers, Meme and Chito Pérez; and his sisters, Lola Guerra and Libby Mata.
