MISSION- Amado Bazan, Sr., 76, went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Mission Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Bazan was born to Mr. Toribio Bazan and Mrs. Dominga Garza in Benavides, TX on September 16, 1934.
His memory will forever live in the hearts of his children, Amado (Yvonne) Bazan, Jr.; Rogelio (Carol) Bazan; Irma (Cesar) Rendon; Eduardo (Gracie) Bazan and Melissa (Abraham) Morales. Survivors also include 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Petra Bazan; daughter, Rosa M. Bazan; and his parents.
He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Visitation for Mr. Bazan will be held at Virgil Wilson Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 17, from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. both evenings. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 19, at 11 a.m. at St. John of the Fields Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Serving as pallbearers are Ruben Ybarra, Jerry Bazan, Raul Ybarra, Jr., Roy Ybarra, Albert Bazan, Jonathan Bazan, Roel Calderon and Isaac Morales. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Amado Bazan III.
