OBIT-Alicia Gonzalez

MISSION - Alicia Garcia Gonzalez, 81, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born on April 9, 1932, to Servando and Tomasita Garcia in La Grulla and graduated from Rio Grande High School. She worked for the Mission CISD in the food service department.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Dionicio Gonzalez Sr. of Mission; daughter, Lilia Warkentine; sons, Natividad, Avelino, Dionicio Jr. and Jose Eduardo; sister, Celia Garcia; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Rebecca T. Garcia and Narciso Garcia.

A service was held on Dec. 30 at El Templo Biblico Church in Alton with Pastor Jesse Trevino officiating.
