Larry McLain, 83, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, following a short illness.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Juanita Davis McLain; children, Michele Hogan, Scott McLain, Cindy Lawrence and Tracy Garcia; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. McLain was born in Girard, Ill. on July 18, 1930 and moved to Donna in 1960. After a 26-year career with Sears Roebuck in McAllen, he moved to Mission and ran an antique restoration and furniture repair business.
