MISSION - Guadalupe Bazan, 86, left to be with the Lord on May 17, 2011 at McAllen Heart Hospital.
She was born to Damian Ochoa and Cristina de Leon in Abram on October 1, 1924.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christina (Jose) Rios, Guadalupe (Hilda) Bazan, Angelita Bazan, Armando (Gloria) Bazan, Estela Gonzalez, Marie (Larry) Smith, George (Raquel) Bazan, Leonel (Martha) Bazan Jr., Roberto (Belia) Bazan, Eddie (Patty) Bazan and Chris (Ramiro) Muñoz; a sister, Rebecca Hernandez; stepson, Jose (Belinda) Leonel Ramos; 44 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Leonel Bazan; son, Arturo Bazan; and parents, Damian and Christina Ochoa.
Family will receive friends Thursday and Friday, May 19 and 20, from 12 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary recited both evenings at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission. The funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
