OBIT-Alex Rangel

MISSION - Alex Rangel, 37, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

Mr. Rangel was born on Jan. 13, 1977, in Mission. He was employed by Jack in the Box for 11 years then for five years at HEB and was most recently as a manager at Whataburger. He volunteered as a coach for youth baseball leagues with his sons for 10 years.

Mr. Rangel is survived by his wife, Claudia T. Rangel; children, Alex Rangel Jr., Ethan I. Rangel and Noah M. Rangel.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Enedelia Arjona, and grandmother, Eva Lozano Arjona,

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Flores Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. at Flores Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Granjeno City Cemetery.
