PALMHURST – Patricia Elizabeth Printy Nibert, 74, of Palmhurst, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at McAllen Medical Center.
Mrs. Nibert was born to D.C. Sr. and Dorothy Printy on Jan. 25, 1939 in Edinburg. She grew up in Edinburg and was a member of the Edinburg Bobcat Band and the All-State Band playing the clarinet. She earned a bachelor's degree from Pan American College and a master's degree in education at Texas Women's University before finishing her degree at Pan American University.
She was an educator for over 30 years in both the Edinburg and Rio Grande City school districts where she taught at the elementary and junior high levels, special education classes and was an educational diagnostician over the course of her career.
Survivors include her son, Bradly Nibert of Edinburg, and brother, D.C. Printy Jr. of Rockledge, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service was held on Jan. 28 at Vaughn Watson Funeral Home in Edinburg.
