OBIT-Roberto Mata

MISSION - Roberto Mata, 57, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Mata was born in Mexico on Dec. 30, 1956.

Survivors include his wife, Maria De la Luz Mata; mother, Elva Garza; children, Maria De los Angeles Perez, Norma Rodriguez and Roberto Mata III; two grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Mata Sr.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 2 to 9 p.m. with a prayer services at 7 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission.   A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at Virgil Wilson. Interment will follow at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Mission.
