MISSION – Jose Maria "Chema" Peña, 79, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at his home in Mission.
Survivors include his wife, Minerva C. Peña; children, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez, Leticia Ogletree, Susana Haro and Jorge Alberto Peña; brothers, Elias Peña, Romeo Peña and Enrique Peña; sisters, Beatriz Ramirez and Amalia Guerra; and 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jose Martin Peña, and his parents, Toribio and Amalia Peña.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
