MISSION - Guadalupe Reyes, 66, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on December 2, 1944 to Jose and Margarita Salas.
Mrs. Reyes is survived by her son, Alejandro (Flor) Reyes of Mission; her daughter, Lorenna (Jesse) Treviño of Mission; sister, Alicia Soto from Zacatecas; her grandchildren, Crystal Lee Reyes, Alejandro Reyes Jr., Derrick Lerma, Ryan Reyes, Andrew Reyes; and a great-grandson, Omar Alejandro Duarte Jr.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Inocencio Reyes Jr., and brothers, Jose Castor and Victor Soto.
Visitation will be held May 31 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mission. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment follows at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Pallbearers will be Alex Reyes Jr., Derrick Lerma, Omar Duarte, Becker Castor, Rey Ortiz, and Jesse Treviño.
