OBIT-Leonel Longoria

ABRAM - Leonel Longoria, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home in Abram.

Mr. Longoria was born in Abram on May 27, 1922. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII from 1941 to 1945.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Amalia Ochoa Longoria; sons, Reymundo and Gustavo Longoria; daughters, Enedina and Lucy Longoria; siblings, Leobardo Longoria of San Antonio, Jose Leonzo Longoria of Florida, Ramiro Longoria of Robstown, Alicia Villarreal of California and Oralia Longoria of Abram; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonardo Longoria and Petra Solis; daughter, Aida Longoria; brother, Leonardo Longoria Jr.; and sister, Ofilia Longoria.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Abram. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Abram.
