OBIT-Billy Joe Echols

MISSION - Billy Joe Echols, 85, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, at his home.

Mr. Echols was born in Sanger on May 3, 1929, to Owen and Lauren Echols.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Catherine Echols; children, Beverly Kelley of Crockett, Pam Kizer of Tyler, Tony Caudill of Cincinnati, Ohio, Vickie Huddle of Scurry, Peggy Gonzalez of Mission and Billy Echols of Edinburg; two sisters; and 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 26, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, at 10 a.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens.
