OBIT-Ramiro Treviño

MISSION - Ramiro "La Rana" Treviño, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Treviño was born Jan. 6, 1934 to Joaquin and Teresa Treviño in Mission.

Survivors include his children, Raul Vela, Roel Vela, Rene Vela Sr., Nora Martinez, Norma Saldaña, Rudy Treviño, Anna L. Cantu and Dorina Aimee Trevino; sibling, Raquel Gonzalez; and 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Maria I. Montelongo Treviño; second wife, Dora L. Garcia Vela Treviño; and siblings, Roberto Treviño and Rebecca Perez.

The funeral mass was held on June 12 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment followed at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
