ABRAM – Rosa Maria Cantu, 57, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Solara Hospital in McAllen. Ms. Cantu was born on June 15, 1953 in Abram to Senovio and Agripina Cantu.
Ms. Cantu is survived by her loving sisters, Raquenel Flores, Hermelinda Perez, and Gloria Ochoa; niece, Dora Flores; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Santiago Cantu and nephew, Mario Flores.
A memorial service will be held June 9 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at L & I Funeral Home in Penitas. The funeral mass will be held on June 10 at 3 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Abram. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery there.
