McCOOK – Stanley Adam "Daddy" Pawelek Jr. passed away on June 8, 2011.
Mr. Pawelek was born September 29, 1938 in McCook, Texas to Stanley Pawelek Sr. and Cecilia Pawelek. He lived every moment of his life for his family, farm and his faith. Daddy never met a stranger and would often be found chatting with anyone who would take the time to talk. Daddy was well known for his silly demeanor and always had a smart remark that would lighten up any situation. He even teased the nurses and doctors during his stay at the hospital.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother, and brothers, Thomas and Michael.
Survivors include his loving wife and best friend, Caroline Moczygemba Pawelek. They were married for 44 years and she faithfully sat by his side during his illness. He is also survived by his son Steven Pawelek of Bellville; daughters, Lynnette (Jason) Mohr of Poteet, and Cynthia Raleigh (Justin) of La Vernia. Grandchildren include Samantha, Celeste, Lucy Jean, Madilynne, Hannah, Jesse and Paradise, as well as many other family members and friends.
He was the anchor of his family and a true friend to humans and animals alike. His loved ones, though saddened by their great loss, take comfort in knowing he is at peace. Daddy is an angel with wings watching over all of those he loved.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, from 6-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in McCook. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in McCook. Interment follows at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in McCook.
