AURORA, IL/MISSION – Barbara Jeane Kellogg, 85 years of age, passed away quietly and peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 12, 2011 after many years of pain and suffering.

Barbara was born in Danville, IL September 29, 1925 to Harriet and Earl Wonderly.

Her parents preceded her in death as did her two brothers, Dr. Wilbur Wonderly of Dinuba, California and Richard Wonderly of Coral Gables, Florida.

She was a great golfer and had many trophies to show for her prowess in the sport.  Her first love however, was her cooking and her hours spent in her kitchen were the happiest of her life.  She also was an accomplished seamstress.

She retired from Farmer’s Insurance Group, Aurora Branch, in 1987, came to Mission as a Winter Texan for a few years, liked the climate and being able to enjoy golf most every day and became a resident in 1992.

She leaves friends here and in Aurora who will miss her greatly.  Barbara was a very caring, thoughtful quiet person.  Her caregiver and companion of many years Marie Wulf survives her also and wishes to thank Drs. Matthew Johnson, Mark Gonzalez and Suresh Ratnam for their kindness and diligence in the treatment they administered to her for so many years.

She is now at peace in God’s hands!

Her wishes to be cremated will be honored. There will be no visitation and memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.  Her remains will be interred in Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram on Thursday, June 16, at 2 p.m.  Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
