MISSION - Raymundo Garza, 78, passed away July 9, 2011 at the Comfort House in McAllen.
He was an extraordinary man devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren, who would go out of his way for people in need. He could never say no to people that needed his help. He was well known and respected by all who came in contact with him. He worked for Bert Ogden for 40 years previously known as Bill Randolph and Tipton Chevrolet. He also worked for Texaco, Gulf Service, and Hayes Sammons.
He is preceded in death by his son, Javier Garza; grandson, Reymundo Eliseo Garza; two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Maria Aurelia Garza; children Reymundo (Guadalupe) Garza Jr., Maria del Rosario (Alejandro) Morales, Eduardo (Gracie) Garza, Arturo (Diana) Garza Sr., San Juanita (Ramon) Montes; brothers, Juan (Gregoria) Garza Jr., Reynaldo (Luisa) Garza, Alejandro Garza; sisters, Elida Alaniz, Elvira Guajardo, Alicia (Angel) Padron, Beatrice Garza; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday July 11, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday July 12, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mission. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
