UTPA Athletics has had a busy summer preparing for the basketball season ahead this year. Both Bronc basketball teams will start their regular home seasons on November 18 with the men hosting a five-team tournament featuring Toledo, Texas State, South Carolina Upstate, and Victory University, and the women welcoming Texas State, all to the UTPA Fieldhouse. The rest of the home schedules include numerous in-state rivals visiting UTPA, along with a full slate of Great West Conference contests.

The Great West Conference has shifted this year to “mirrored” scheduling, which eliminates doubleheaders with both the men’s and women’s teams. This means there will a lot more home basketball dates in the UTPA Fieldhouse this winter. For this reason, season tickets to the men’s and women’s games are being sold separately.  Tickets for the men’s game will remain reserved in all of the chair back sections, whereas all seating for women’s games will be general admission.

The special discounted season ticket price for Winter Texans in Sections G & H (behind the home bench) is $75 and includes a reserved seat for all 16 home men’s games. Season tickets for women’s basketball are $50 (general admission) and include all 12 home games. An early bird discounted price of $100 is being offered for fans purchasing both a men’s season ticket in the reserved Winter Texan sections and a season ticket for women’s basketball by November 1.

In fairness to all fans supporting UTPA Athletics by purchasing reserved tickets, ushers will be enforcing seating locations during all men’s home games this season.  Individuals who need special seating accommodations are asked to contact the Athletic Office or visit the ticket box office for ADA seating options.

Season tickets can be purchased online at or by calling the Athletic Office at 956-665-2221.  For questions regarding the upcoming season or ticket policies, contact Chelsea Blakey, director of ticket operations, directly at 956-665-2205 or
