RIO GRANDE CITY -- Friday night wasn't a bad way to end non-district play for Aaron Clemons' girls. Behind senior Jannet Navarez's three goals, the Mission Eagles took down the Rio Grande City Rattlers 5-0.
The offensive flurry--which included a 3-0 halftime lead--was exactly what Clemons was hoping before Tuesday's showdown with Palmview to open up 30-5A play.
"I felt over non-district our defense has been playing solid but that we were missing something on offense," Clemons explained. "I saw a lot today."
Also scoring for the Eagles were Karla Muniz and Vanessa Rodriguez.
