Colts Kramer gives up second straight grand slam in ninth
San Angelo, Texas---The Colts take their second straight loss at home at the hands of the McAllen Thunder 9-6. The Colts still hold a four-game lead in the North American South Division over the Rio Grande Valley White Wings.
Pitching for the Colts, Lefty Logan Williamson (8-0, 4.13) went 7.1 innings allowing two runs off two hits, walking three and striking out six. Williamson, the North American League leader in wins, would not get his ninth win of the season. Colts right-hander and pitching coach Sean Kramer (2-4, 8.59) would blow his second straight save in as many nights. Kramer gave up a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning for the second straight night to give the Thunder their second straight against the Colts.
San Angelo took a 6-2 lead into the top of the ninth behind the offensive production of Corey Patton (18). Patton batted 2-4 on the contest, smashing two homeruns and a single. Vic Ferrante also got three hits on the night, as he went 3-4 with a double and two singles.blog comments powered by Disqus
