OBIT-Daniel M. Palomo

MISSION – Daniel M. Palomo, 97, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Beeville on Jan. 3, 1916 to Eulogio Palomo and Cruz Moreno, and was a longtime resident of Mission.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilaria Perez.

Survivors include his daughters, Maria Cristina Reyna and Gloria Vega; sister, Josepha Garcia; and five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 6, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
