OBIT-Lydia M. Espericueta

MISSION – Lydia M. Espericueta, 82, passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Amara Hospice in McAllen.

Mrs. Espericueta was born in Mission to Secundino and Maria Guadalupe Morales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Agustin F. Espericueta Jr.; her parents; brothers, Osvaldo Morales, Ruben Morales and Roberto Morales; and sister, Eliza Olivarez.

Survivors include her son, Gus Mikael Espericueta III of Mission; daughters, Elizabeth E. De Leon and Esmeralda Espericueta of Mission; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 2 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
