OBIT-Manuel M. Hernandez

ALTON – Manuel M. Hernandez Sr., 87, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital.

He was born in Mexico.

Survivors include his sons, Manuel Hernandez Jr., Javier Hernandez and Cutberto Hernandez; daughters, Beatrice Hernandez and Claudia Patricia Corona; brother, Guadalupe Hernandez; sister, Clemencia Hernandez; and 14 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Vicenta Maldonado Hernandez, and sons, Samuel and Fernando Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 13, from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ceballos Funeral Home in McAllen. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
