OBIT-Cecilia Sariñana

MISSION – Cecilia Sariñana, age 63, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Sariñana was a teacher at Leo Marcell Elementary with the Mission CISD for over 33 years.

Survivors include her husband, Martin Sariñana of Mission; children, Abel Sariñana of Austin and Sofia Ledesma of McAllen; siblings, Maria Cano, Lupita Oviedo, Janie Garza, Esteban Ybarra, Francisco Ybarra and Josie Ybarra; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, José and Rosa Ybarra.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John of the Fields Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
