OBIT-Rafael C. Reyna, Jr.

MISSION/SAN ANTONIO – Rafael “Ralph” C. Reyna, Jr., 77, of San Antonio and Mission passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014.

He graduated from San Antonio Vocational and Technical High School and completed the apprenticeship program for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local #142 where he served as president. He was an active parishioner at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in San Antonio and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission. He was a fourth degree knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 10240.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Stella; daughters, Melissa Reyna, Michele Fuentes and Veronica Reyna; sister, Delia Rodriguez; brother, Stephen Reyna; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Soila McNiel; and brother, Gilbert Reyna.

A rosary will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m. at Porter Loring Chapel in San Antonio. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
