OBIT-Alberto S. Macias

ALTON – Alberto S. Macias, 77, passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at Solara Hospital in McAllen.

He was born on July 12, 1936, to Marcos Macias and Severa Segovia in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Emeteria H. Macias; children, Roy Macias, Rudy Macias, Samuel Macias, Eloisa Macias, Ruth Grimaldo, Alicia Macias and Jose Macias; and 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Luis Jose Macias.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at Iglesia Bautista Getsemani in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
