OBIT-Leonzo Muñoz

LA JOYA – Leonzo Muñoz, 68, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.

Mr. Muñoz was born July 20, 1945 to Jose Ramon and Narcisa Y. Muñoz Sr. in Los Ebanos.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Reyes Muñoz; sons, Jose Luis Muñoz and Leonzo Muñoz Jr.; daughters, Marilou Cantu, Gabriela A. Rangel, Juanita Muñoz, Elvia Muñoz and Domenica Muñoz; siblings, Aniceto Muñoz, Arnaldo D. Muñoz, Ismael Muñoz, Paula M. Luna and Cristina M. Luna; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jose Ramon Muñoz Jr.; and sisters, Cresencia Muñoz, Cresencia Thatcher, Elvia Bazan and Narcisa Muñoz.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosaryat Lord & I Funeral Home in Peñitas. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Los Ebanos. Interment will follow at Los Ebanos Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jose Luis Muñoz, Joel Villalobos, Jorge Rangel, Jorge Luis Cantu, Sr., Jorge Luis Cantu, Jr., and Joel Muñoz.
