OBIT-Andrea Garcia Ramos

MISSION – Andrea Garcia Ramos, 49, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center in Houston.

Mrs. Ramos was born to Reynaldo and Maria Elena Garcia on March 2, 1965, in Rotan. She graduated from Mission High School in 1984 and South Texas College in 2010. On March 8, 1985, she married Armando Ramos Jr.

Survivors include her husband and mother; children, Amanda Marie Cedillo and Armando Ramos III; brothers, Reynaldo Garcia Jr. and Ramiro Garcia; and sisters, Aurora Lozano, Anita Garcia and Maria Elena Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Rumaldo Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, from 1to 9 p.m. at Rivera Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 10, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
