OBIT-Patricia Ann Cardenas

PENITAS – Patricia Ann Cardenas, 40, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at her home in Peñitas.

Ms. Cardenas was born July 2, 1973, to Jose Roel and Irma Dora Cardenas Sr. in Mission. She was a former City of Peñitas councilwoman and a secretary with the La Joya I.S.D. for 22 years.

Survivors include her parents and siblings, Monica Cardenas and Jose Roel Cardenas Jr.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roberto Cardenas Sr. and Hermila Cardenas and Francisco and Guadalupe Guerrero.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Lord & I Funeral Home in Peñitass. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 3 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Peñitas. Interment will follow at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram.

Pallbearers will be Andy Martinez, Ricky Villarreal, Alex Cantu, Javier Cardenas, Juan Manuel Rosales, Steve Medina and Homero Cardenas. Honorary pallbearer will be Elishah E. Cardenas.
