OBIT-Julia Jasso Martinez

MISSION – Julia Jasso Martinez, 86, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Mission Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Three Rivers on April 12, 1928.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Aurelio R. Martinez; children, Juan Jose Martinez, Concepcion M. Gonzalez, Ana Maria Villarreal, Aurelio Martinez and Diana Rios; sister, Margarita Montes; and 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evaristo and Guadalupe Jasso.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco. Cremation will follow.
