OBIT-Mase Molina

MISSION – Mase Molina, 67, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at his home in Mission.

Mr. Molina was born on Feb. 3, 1947, in Asherton and moved to Uvalde before coming to the Mission/McAllen area. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1965. In 1973, he graduated from Texas A&I University. In 1987 he became a licensed customs broker until his retirement in 1990 and then worked as a substitute teacher in the La Joya, Edinburg and Mission school districts.

Survivors include his children, Monica Bowles, Mase Molina and Myra Molina; mother, Magdalena Molina; siblings, Ray Molina Jr. and Carlos Molina; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymundo Molina Sr., and siblings, Maria Lamar Molina and Alberto Molina.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission with an after dinner service at Hope of Glory Fellowship in McAllen.
