OBIT-Elsie M. James

MISSION – Elsie M. James, 94, passed away on Monday June 2, 2014, at her home in Mission.

Mrs. James joined the United States Navy in 1942 in the Women’s Navy Wave during World War II.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Stuhlman of Edinburg; and two grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin H. James; a grandson, Christopher Wayne Endicott; and a sister, Velma.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 4, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 5, at 11 a.m. at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen.
