OBIT-Consuelo Guajardo Garza

MISSION – Consuelo Guajardo Garza passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at her home in Alton.

She was born in Mission on March 25, 1933, to Jose Maria Guajardo and Maria de Jesus Guajardo.

Survivors include her husband, Jesus Garza; children daughters, Norma Garza, Nelda Rutledge and Jesus Garza Jr.; sisters, Eva Solis and Gloria Rivera; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael M. Rutledge; and siblings, Jose Guajardo and Josefina Villarreal.

The funeral mass was held on July 12 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
