OBIT-Maria de Jesus Moreno

MISSION – Maria de Jesus Moreno, 81, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Mission Regional Medical Center.

She was born on Dec. 28, 1932, in Mexico, Porfirio Moreno and Sara Ojeda. Ms. Moreno was employed by Mission C.I.S.D for 27 years where she worked as a cook server at the central kitchen.

Survivors include her siblings, Lolita, Elias and Porfirio Moreno, Belen Olivarez, Armando, Rafael, Arturo and Juan Ojeda, Susie Guerra and Olga Salinas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ascencion, Herlinda Moreno and Raul Ojeda.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Rivera Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
