OBIT-Juventino Gonzalez Sr.

ABRAM – Juventino Gonzalez Sr., 85, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

He was born on Aug. 24, 1929, in Dr. Gonzalez, N.L., Mexico.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Gonzalez; his children, Roberto Gonzalez, Juventino Gonzalez Jr., Rosa Nelly Salinas, Leticia Gonzalez, Juan Antonio Gonzalez, Velia Gonzalez, and Jose Gonzalez; and 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Refugio and Taide Gonzalez, and son, Jesus Javier Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Abram. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
