OBIT-Delia V. Martinez

MISSION – Delia V. Martinez, 85, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, in McAllen.

She was member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission.

Survivors include her children, Arturo Villarreal, Manuel Martinez Jr., Oralia Herrera Sr., Cristina Cantu, Eduardo Martinez and Oscar Martinez, all from Mission; sister, Anita Romo of Lyford; and 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Martinez Sr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
