OBIT-Jorge Arnoldo Montero

ALTON – Jorge Arnoldo Montero, 37, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at his home in Alton.

Mr. Montero was born on April 7, 1977, in Mission.

Survivors include his parents, Nicolas Echartea and Aurelia (Rodriguez) Echartea; brother, Victor Echartea of South Bend, Ind.; sister: Veronica Echartea of Elkhart, Ind.; step-brothers, Jaime Echartea of Abram, and David Echartea and Nicolas Echartea Jr. of Elkhart.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. A mass will be held on on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Cremation will follow.
