OBIT-Elpidia de Jesus Acevedo

MISSION – Elpidia de Jesus Acevedo, 93, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1921, in Ciudad Guzman, Jalisco, Mexico.

Survivors include her son, Noe Acevedo Jr.; daughter, Rosario Showery; and eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Blas Romero and Gregoria Avalos, and husband, Noe B. Acevedo.

A funeral mass was held on Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment followed at Catholic Cemetery in Mission.
