OBIT-Manuela G. Tijerina

MISSION – Manuela G. Tijerina, 89, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 in McAllen. She was born on June 16, 1925 in Mexico to Luis and Maria de Jesus Garza.

She is survived by her chilren, Maria Eugenia, Dora Alicia Tijerina de Cano, Irma Delia, Jose Manuel, Luis Alberto, Romulo Javier, Gloria Elvia and Rosa Elia Tijerina de Martinez; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Pedro Garza, Epifanio Garza and sister, Rosa Mena.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Maria Tijerina and her parents.

A visitation will be held today March 20, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel in Mission. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at Funeraria del Angel in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
