OBIT-Raul Compean

MISSION – Raul Compean, 87, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Comfort House in McAllen, Texas. He was born on October 30, 1927 in Lockhart, Texas, but resided all his life in Mission.

At the age of 18, he served in the United States Army during World War II. He was later a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1065 in Mission, member of American Legion Post 93, and lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 8788.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Cindy Compean Flores, Deldie Flores, Belinda Sifuentes, Eddie Compean, Albert Compean, Frank Compean, and Juan Compean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Juana Compean; and his brothers, Jose Compean, Mario Compean, Jesus Compean, and Guillermo O. Compean.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 6, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
