Investigators make arrest in theft cases
Hidalgo County Sheriff’s investigators have recovered $40,000 in stolen property and made an arrest in connection to two theft cases.
Acting on information of a stolen trailer possibly located in the 3300 block of Melanie Street in rural Mission on Monday, investigators searched the property and found a stolen trailer filled with DJ equipment and a second stolen concession trailer, states a news release.
Both trailers had been partially painted, the news release states.
Rolando Puente, 36, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony theft. Hidalgo County Pct. 4, Place 1 Justice of the Peace Charlie Espinoza set Puente’s bond at $40,000.
