OBIT-Juan Mendiola

MISSION – Juan Mendiola passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015, at the age of 74. Juan was born to Celestino and Rafaela Villalon Mendiola on October 8, 1940 in Los Ebanos, and lived in the Palmview/Mission area his entire life. He graduated from La Joya High School in 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Olga F. Mendiola; his three children, Sylvia Ann Mendiola, Xavier Mendiola and Cynthia Hinojosa; his brother, Celestino Mendiola; and three grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Yvonne Marie Guzman; a brother, Eliseo Mendiola; and sister, Elodia Mendiola-Salinas.

Visitation will be held at Flores Funeral Home in Mission, on Monday, June 22, 2015, starting at 1 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Magdalene in Abram. Interment will follow at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram.
