OBIT-Maria Elena Gonzalez

ALTON – Maria Elena Gonzalez, 63, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, Ruben Gonzalez; children, Alejandro Garza, Ruben Gonzalez Jr., Maria Jessica Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez, Jose Luis Gonzalez and Rene Angel Gonzalez; mother, Dolores Mercado Garza; siblings, Noe G. Garza, Hermelinda Leal, Lydia Solis, Roel Garza, Ramiro Garza, Narciso Garza, Hector Garza, Norma Rosel, Joel Garza, Rene Garza, Miguel Garza; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Noe Garza.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Burial follows at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
