OBIT – Adolfo Sanchez

MISSION –Adolfo Sanchez passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Rio Grande Regional Medical Center in McAllen.

Mr. Sanchez was born on Sept. 26, 1930, to Maria de Salinas Sanchez and Jose Maria Sanchez. He was married to Socorro Garcia Sanchez for 54 years. He served in the Army and National Guard for numerous years and eventually went on to retire from the Sharyland School District after 21 years.

Survivors include his children, Sonia de la Garza, Adolfo Ruben Sanchez Jr., Jose Maria Sanchez and Alberto Sanchez; and 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on March 5 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
