OBIT – David S. Elbers

>MISSION – David S. Elbers, 69, passed away on March 7, 2016, at McAllen Medical Center.

Born in Oakland, California, Mr. Elbers lived most of his life in the Valley and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mission. He served in the U.S. Navy and owned and operated a mechanic shop for 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Elbers; children, Nicole Jacobs of Frisco and Daniel Elbers of La Vernia; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Henrietta Elbers, and sister, Jeanne Kanis.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Mission.
