OBIT – Albirno Eluterio Guerra

ALTON – Albino Eluterio Guerra, 94, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Doctors Hospital in Edinburg.  

Mr. Guerra was born April 18, 1922, at San Carlos Ranch to the late Florencio and Sara (Saenz) Guerra. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in France during World War II.

Survivors include his children, Dr. Jose Arturo Guerra of New Jersey, Dr. Mario Guerra of Mission and Elizabeth Martinez of Alton; sister, Sarita Gonzalez of Rio Grande City; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esperanza Gonzalez De Guerra.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, at 10 a.m. at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Burial follows at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
