OBIT – Casimiro Juarez
MISSION – Casimiro Juarez, 96, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Rio Grande City on June 6, 1920, to Marcos and Narcisa Juarez and raised in San Isidro. He lived in Mission the remainder of his life. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 32 years of which he was very proud. He also enjoyed going to his ranch in San Isidro and spending time there. Listening to music was one of his favorite past times.
Survivors include his children, Joel Juarez, Idea Cruz and Marivel Juarez; siblings, Merced Escobar and Ramiro Juarez; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sila V. Juarez; sister, Julia Quintero; and grandchildren, Jose Javier Cruz and Amanda Lizette Cruz.
A funeral mass was held on Nov. 7 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
