Another Texas Citrus Fiesta has come and gone and we know you’re facing post-Fiesta blues.
We here at the Progress Times look forward to covering this event every year and we understand your pain. We know you miss the magic of the 80th Annual Texas Citrus Fiesta and probably think it’s over for another year, but you’re wrong.
Despite chilly weather and clouds the rain did not fall on the Texas Citrus Fiesta’s 80th Annual Parade of Oranges Saturday down Conway Avenue in Mission. Queen Citrianna Bryceidee Leos and King Citrus Dale Murden found the Progress Times’ camera atop our building at 13th Street and Conway as they rode atop the royal float. Not only are we releasing our latest issue of the Progress Times tomorrow, we’ll be unleashing our post-Citrus Fiesta Edition. Inside this issue will be coverage of the annual event such as the Parade of Oranges, the International Mayor’s Brunch and the latest Royal Coronation.
Also included in the issue will be a wonderful spread from our designers highlighting some of the best photos of the Texas Citrus Fiesta. You can already see these photos on our online gallery here.
Be sure to pick up this issue tomorrow as our office in downtown Mission or wherever our newspapers are sold.
